The Neighborhood Note — October 2026
A community newsletter from TEPOA

Hello, Rolling Hills neighbors!
Cooler days are a good reminder to reconnect with our community and get our homes ready for the season ahead. Here is our first neighborhood note from TURNER ESTATES PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION (TEPOA).
Join Us For Our Annual Meeting
Monday, October 5, 2026 • 6:00 p.m. Eastern

All property owners are encouraged to attend. We will discuss our financial position, share project updates, and re-elect officers. Bring your questions and ideas—we look forward to seeing you there!

- Check doors and windows for drafts and add caulking or weather stripping where needed.
- Protect water pipes in exposed or cold areas with appropriate insulation.
- Have your heating system checked by a qualified technician. If you use a fireplace or wood stove, arrange an annual chimney or flue inspection.
- Set aside flashlights, spare batteries, drinking water, shelf-stable food, and needed medications in case a storm interrupts power or travel.
- Follow weather forecasts and check in with neighbors who may need a hand preparing.
Take A Moment To Test Your Smoke Alarms
Use the test button on each smoke alarm at least once a month. Check the manufacture date and replace alarms when they reach 10 years old. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for battery replacement; sealed-battery alarms should not be opened to replace the battery. Make sure alarms are installed in bedrooms, outside sleeping areas, and on every level of your home. Review your household’s escape plan and choose an outdoor meeting spot.
